On September 28, 2026, Phase I of Changchun Urban Rail Transit Line 5 officially entered initial operation. This marks the second rail transit line opened in Changchun in 2026, further densifying Changchun’s urban rail transit network and ushering the city’s comprehensive transport system into a new development phase.Denser Network Connecting Key Urban Functional ZonesPhase I of Changchun Rail Transit Line 5 stretches 19.5 kilometers with 18 underground stations, including 6 interchange stations. Starting from Zhuoyue Avenue Station in the west, the route runs along major urban roads including Silicon Valley Avenue, Qianjin Avenue, Huxi Road, Hongqi Street, Cultural Square, People’s Square and Changchun Street, and terminates at Dongdaqiao Station in the east. Traversing Changchun from southwest to northeast, it links multiple urban functional zones, commercial districts and transport hubs.After the opening of Phase I of Line 5, Changchun’s operational rail network expands from 7 lines to 8 lines, and the total operational mileage increases from 174.6 km to 194.1 km. The coverage capacity and interchange efficiency of the urban rail transit network are further improved.Professional Expertise Building Core Communication Assurance System for the LineDuring the construction of Phase I of Changchun Metro Line 5, as a core participant of the project, ZTRS CORPORATION undertook the construction of the dedicated communication system and equipment integration of the public security communication system for the project.
The dedicated communication system covers transmission, dedicated wireless, administrative & dedicated telephone, public address, clock system, security integration platform, centralized alarm, video surveillance, passenger information, operation management, depot security system and more. The public security communication system includes public security wireless, fire wireless, public security video monitoring, public security computer network (including IP telephone) and other subsystems.
These systems together form the critical communication foundation for information transmission, security protection, dispatch & command, passenger service and emergency support during rail transit operation, delivering strong backing for the safe, efficient and intelligent operation of Phase I of Line 5.
