Xi 'an Metro Line 16 Phase I was officially opened. It is 15.1 kilometers long, starting from Shijingli Station in the south and ending at Qinchuangyuan Center Station in the north, with a total of nine underground stations.
Meaning of construction
For the ancient city of Xi 'an, Phase I of Line 16 and Metro Lines 5 and 1 connect at Huajinggu Station and Shanglin Road Station, respectively. The line links key landmarks such as Fenghe Jinwan, Xi' an International Football Center, China International Silk Road Center, OCT Huajinggu, and Shijingli. This significantly enhances the spatial layout of the Xixian New Area and promotes the integration of Xi 'an and Xianyang. More importantly, Line 16 of the Xi' an Metro is equipped with the world's most advanced GoA4 fully automatic operation system, making it the first fully automated and driverless line in Northwest China.

ZTRS is responsible for constructing the communication system, which includes 20 systems for Line 16. These systems cover dedicated transmission, wireless communication, public telephones, dedicated telephones, video surveillance, broadcasting, clocks, communication power supply, centralized alarm, office automation, passenger information, video conferencing, vehicle segment security, public security transmission, public security wireless communication, public security facial recognition, public security computer network, public security internal dedicated telephones, public security communication power supply, and police supervision management.
The project was accepted by experts on June 18,2023, and officially opened to operation on June 27,2023. Up to now, ZTE system has served xi 'an Metro Line 1, Line 4, Line 9 and Line 16, a total of four lines.
