ZTRS Undertakes the Project! Fuzhou Metro Line 5 Opens as a National Demonstration Line for Security Integration Platform

At 9:00 a.m. on April 29, 2022, as the metro train slowly departed from Jinshan Station, the first section of Phase I of Fuzhou Metro Line 5 officially opened for commercial operation. This marks the official commissioning of the national demonstration line featuring the security integration platform undertaken by ZTRS!

Phase I of Fuzhou Metro Line 5 serves as a backbone line of the “Cross plus Loop” network layout. Starting at Jingxi Houyu in Minhou and terminating at Fuzhou South Railway Station, the line stretches approximately 27.7 km with 20 stations. The first operational section runs from Jingxi Houyu Station to Luozhou Ancient Town Station, covering about 22.4 km and comprising 17 stations. Its opening establishes a rapid transit corridor connecting Jinshan Industrial Park along Fuzhou Science and Innovation Corridor, the Cangshan Functional Zone of Fuzhou New Area and Minhou Jingxi New Town. Passengers can travel directly from Luozhou to Minhou by metro in merely 40 minutes.。

As the first line opened under Fuzhou’s second-phase rail network plan, Fuzhou Metro Line 5 has attracted sustained high attention from local residents. To better guarantee safe metro operation, Fuzhou Metro Group, together with ZTRS, the compilation team of GB51151 standard, China Railway Signal & Communication Research Institute and China Railway Electrification Bureau Group, signed the Strategic Cooperation Agreement on Jointly Building China’s First Metro Security Integration Platform Demonstration Project. Leveraging the professional expertise, specialists, technologies and talent resources of all parties, the security prevention system was constructed in accordance with GB51151-2016 Technical Code for Engineering of Public Security Prevention Systems in Urban Rail Transit and its implementation guidelines based on the practical operational requirements of Fuzhou Metro, delivering remarkable improvement in security prevention capabilities.

The security integration platform system for Phase I of Fuzhou Metro Line 5 adopts an independent system construction scheme. It consists of 1 line-centre security integration platform and 22 station-level security integration platforms (covering 20 passenger stations, 1 depot and 1 yard). The security subsystems of power substations are connected to the station-level security integration platforms of adjacent stations.

The construction of the security integration platform consolidates formerly dispersed technical prevention subsystems including video surveillance, intrusion alarm, security inspection and detection, access control and electronic patrol systems under unified management and control of the platform. In case of public security incidents, the platform triggers pop-up alarms instantly and links nearby resource nodes. Alarm information and the location of incidents are clearly displayed. Station staff can respond promptly following the system’s emergency response procedures. Meanwhile, security alerts can be pushed to sub-bureaus, police stations and police service posts to realize police-station linkage.

The deployment of the security integration platform on Line 5 further improves the sharing of information resources for Fuzhou Metro’s safety management and strengthens operational safety assurance.

ZTRS is currently building a regional-level security integration platform for the Public Security Sub-bureau of Fuzhou Metro. This platform will support the security information dispatching capacity of Fuzhou Metro’s existing network, enhance unified scheduling of security systems on operational lines, and more comprehensively meet public security management requirements for all lines by operators and public security authorities.

Going forward, ZTRS will abide by the requirements stipulated in the Strategic Cooperation Agreement on Jointly Building China’s First Metro Security Integration Platform Demonstration Project. With continuous innovation and exploration, ZTRS will give full play to the leading role of this national demonstration line for security integration platforms and provide solid support for the construction of public security systems for urban rail transit in other cities.
