From October 13 to 15, 2021, the 2021 Shenzhen Annual Conference of the China Summit of Metro Operators, initiated by China Association of Metros (CAMET), was grandly held in Shenzhen. On the afternoon of the 15th, a visiting delegation consisting of senior leaders from urban rail operators nationwide, together with leaders and experts from China Association of Metros, visited ZTE Corporation. The delegation listened to the work report on ZTE’s smart rail transit business and conducted in-depth exchanges.

Led by Xin Jie, Rotating President and Chairman of Shenzhen Metro Group Co., Ltd., and Zhou Xiaoqin, Executive Vice President of China Association of Metros, the delegation included more than 70 senior leaders. ZTE was represented by Li Zixue, Chairman and Executive Director of ZTE Corporation; Ye Weimin, Senior Vice President; Xue Ying, Vice President and General Manager of Government & Transportation Market; Lu Ping, Vice President; and Xie Hai, Vice President and General Manager of ZTRS, who received the visiting group.

During the visit, the delegation toured ZTE’s Exhibition Hall and Museum, learning about ZTE’s development history in communications and rail transit sectors, and spoke highly of ZTE’s contributions to the rail transit industry.

Subsequently, the delegation attended an exchange meeting hosted by Ms. Xue Ying from ZTE. They held in-depth discussions with ZTE’s senior management on the theme “Building the Digital Economy, Co-creating a New Blueprint for Smart Rail Transit”.

Xin Jie reviewed his long-standing partnership with ZTE and expressed gratitude for ZTE’s support for the summit. He also put forward new expectations for ZTE to fully leverage its strengths and actively participate in the development of the rail transit industry.

Zhou Xiaoqin affirmed ZTE’s achievements in the communications sector. He stated that this site visit brought him fresh understanding of ZTE, and looked forward to greater contributions from ZTE to China’s urban rail transit industry.

Li Zhonghao shared his suggestions regarding technologies such as 5G and public-private dedicated networks with the attending leaders. He expressed the hope that ZTE would seize the high-speed development opportunities of the industry, take an active part in industry construction, and achieve remarkable results.

On behalf of ZTE, Lu Ping responded to the questions and recommendations raised by Director Li. He stated that ZTE would actively adopt the suggestions, increase investment to resolve existing challenges, leverage ZTE’s technological advantages in 5G and urban rail cloud, strengthen communication with customers, and accelerate the industrial implementation of technologies within urban rail transit.

Lastly, Xie Hai delivered a work report to the leaders. ZTE has entered the rail transit industry since 1996 and consistently maintained heavy investment in this sector.
