On September 21, 2026, MTR China Railway Electrification Rail Transit (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. held its annual safety workshop and the signing ceremony for construction advancement task orders. The event comprehensively reviewed the work of construction safety management for the project in 2025 and commended outstanding participating partners. At the ceremony, ZTRS CORPORATION was awarded the title of "Excellent Project Management Organization for Package B of the Construction Project of Phase II, Shenzhen Urban Rail Transit Line 13", winning recognition from the owner for solid project management and high-quality delivery.

Shenzhen Metro Line 13, known as the "Golden Sci-Tech Innovation Line", runs through the west-central part of the city. It stretches from Shenzhen Bay Port in the south to Lisonglang in Guangming in the north, linking key hubs including Nanshan Science and Technology Park, Liuxiadong Headquarters Base and Guangming Science City. The line cuts the commute time between Guangming and Nanshan to 45 minutes. It unlocks cultural, tourism and residential value along the route, connects Hong Kong in the south and reserves interfaces for connection with Dongguan Metro in the north, serving as a critical pillar for Shenzhen-Hong Kong collaboration, Shenzhen-Dongguan integration and the Greater Bay Area one-hour transport circle. The northern extension of Phase II of Shenzhen Metro Line 13 was officially opened for operation on June 28, 2026.

As the general contractor for the Passenger Information System (PIS) of the project, ZTRS undertook the construction of multiple subsystems including the Passenger Information System (PIS), train-to-ground WiFi 6 system, full-color LED large-screen display system and cybersecurity grading protection, as well as system integration, interface joint commissioning, comprehensive debugging and opening support services.

During construction, confronted with challenges such as MTR’s stringent operational standards, complicated cross-disciplinary interfaces and numerous Fully Automatic Operation (FAO) test scenarios, the project team adopted schedule management as the core and interface coordination as the priority, embedding safety and quality control throughout the whole project lifecycle.

Centered on the line opening target, the team took deep part in field tests, FAO consistency scenario tests, full-function tests and multiple rounds of comprehensive joint commissioning. The team proactively coordinated with all participating contractors, continuously promoted issue closure and risk disposal to ensure orderly connection and safe control of all activities. Ultimately, the project construction was successfully completed, providing solid support for the scheduled opening of the northern extension of Phase II, Shenzhen Metro Line 13.

The honor of "Excellent Project Management Organization" represents the owner’s recognition of ZTRS’s project safety management, on-site implementation, cross-party coordination and delivery capabilities.
