On September 22, the southern section of Qingdao Metro Line 8 was officially opened for operation, marking the full-line commissioning of Line 8. Connecting Wusi Square, Qingdao North Railway Station and Jiaodong International Airport, the line enables passengers to travel directly from Wusi Square to Jiaodong Airport in as fast as 40 minutes, establishing a rapid rail transit corridor between the urban core and the airport.

As the system integrator for the dedicated communication system and public security communication system of Qingdao Metro Line 8, ZTRS CORPORATION has successfully completed the integration and commissioning of the two major systems, delivering robust communication support for the safe and stable operation of the line.

Qingdao Metro Line 8 serves as a backbone route of Qingdao’s rail transit network. Upon full opening, higher requirements are imposed on the stability, security and service isolation of the communication systems. ZTRS undertakes the overall integration and construction of the line’s dedicated communication system and public security communication system, covering a full suite of services including transmission, administrative telephone, dedicated telephone, wireless communication, public address, clock system, as well as public security video transmission, public security computer network and public security private wireless network. The solution realizes physical isolation and interconnection between metro operation dispatch communication and public security emergency communication, satisfying dual business requirements for train operation command, operation management and public security emergency response.

During project construction, confronted with challenges such as complex tunnel conditions, cross-disciplinary construction and tight schedule milestones, the ZTRS project team strictly complied with metro construction specifications. The team delivered full-process management covering equipment installation, cable laying, system joint commissioning and test acceptance, continuously optimizing system compatibility to ensure the stability and reliability of both dedicated communication and public security communication systems. Overcoming construction difficulties on the southern section, the team completed system commissioning and acceptance with high quality to guarantee the timely opening of the line.
