On September 29–30, the 6th China Smart Rail Transit Construction & Equipment Conference 2020, hosted by the World Rail Transit Development Research Association and supported by the Comprehensive Transport Research Institute of the National Development and Reform Commission and Chengdu Rail Construction Management Co., Ltd., was grandly held in Chengdu. ZTRS was invited to attend the conference and delivered a speech at a special forum.

To explore the development of the rail transit industry under the new infrastructure initiative, the conference invited leaders from relevant national ministries and commissions, academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and the Chinese Academy of Sciences, representatives from urban rail transit construction and operation entities, industry experts and scholars, as well as enterprise delegates. Hundreds of attendees gathered for in-depth exchanges on topics including electromechanical technologies and equipment under the intelligent, networked, informatized and big-data-driven rail transit industry, accelerating the formation of rail networks, and the development of Chengdu rail transit.

In his speech, Zhu Junping noted that since the commencement of construction in 2005, Chengdu rail transit has undergone 15 years of development. By the end of 2020, the total operational mileage will reach 557.8 km, and the record single-day network ridership has exceeded 5.256 million passenger trips, making Chengdu the fifth city in China to surpass 5 million single-day metro passenger trips. He expressed hope that through the collective efforts of the industry, wisdom-driven innovation would be injected into Chengdu and the industry as a whole, propelling urban rail transit to achieve greater development in the new era.

At the subsequent New Infrastructure · Digital Intelligent Urban Rail Future Forum, Zhang Yongliang, Product Director of ZTRS, delivered a speech titled Building a Smart Security Network Based on an Edge-Fog-Cloud Architecture. He introduced the concept of constructing a new-generation security network leveraging edge computing, fog computing and cloud computing technologies, and shared ZTRS’s insights from the security integration platform construction projects for Hangzhou Metro, Tianjin Metro and Fuzhou Metro.
